Because of serious back problems and
unable to sleep, Chris Ferris started wandering through the countryside. Since
then she has come to know the wild population of badgers intimately - she
observes every detail of their lives each night. Out Of The Darkness is her
account of the last two years in which she has witnessed their constant
persecution, and in championing them she has been attacked by dogs, assaulted
and shot at by unscrupulous poachers. |
