Badger spotter harm trial stopped

The trial of a
man charged with shooting a badger-spotter after mistaking his night
vision goggles for a fox's eyes has been stopped.
Anthony Burns, 52, of Prestwood, Bucks, had been accused of
shooting Trevor Lawson while he was out hunting for foxes in
countryside. The jurors at Aylesbury Crown Court were discharged on Monday
afternoon for legal reasons. Mr Burns denies one count of causing grievous bodily harm in
April 2003. A new trial is due to take place at Aylesbury Crown Court. For more information, please click the following link:
