Summary
The Pennine Link Badger Group was setup by Countryside Rangers, Police
Wildlife Liaison Officers and members of the Saddleworth & District Action
Group. Assistance was also provided by three Local Authorities - Rochdale,
Oldham and Tameside. The Calderdale and the Lancashire Badger groups also
provided assistance, and the Lancashire Badger Group
are still closely linked with the Pennine Link Badger Group.
The groups main aim is to protect badgers, their setts and habitats within
the Rochdale, Oldham and Tameside areas. However, like most other badger groups,
they also carry out other activities. |
