Publications

AbeBooks.co.uk

Here are some abstracts of some recent research publications which involving badgers. Many of these include a short abstract of what may be in the document. This is not a definitive or a complete list. It is a list of the on-line publications which we find interesting and are worth reading, study or investigation.

If you are at university, there will be a very good chance that your university or departmental library will have access to these publications; or will be able to get them for you to consult for free. If not, your University librarian or your tutor may also be able to order them for you at "Academic Pricing" or "Student Discount" prices if you meet certain criteria.

Otherwise, you should be able to buy a complete copy of the full article by setting up an account with the Publishing Company (often www.ingenta.com or www.sciencedirect.com); or even by getting a photocopy from the British Library (in London). You can also use the Ingenta web site to research scientific papers by doing a keyword search. The prices are given on the Ingenta web site.

Badger Types!
Unless stated otherwise, all these publications relate to the Eurasian Badger (Meles meles) only. The term "bTB" has been used as shorthand to cover all instances of bovine tuberculosis, M Bovis and related terms. We may have simplified complex scientific jargon, to use terminology more commonly understood by ordinary mortals. Please let us know if we have misinterpreted any publication, and we will correct our error.
Scientific Journals Copyright
These are shortened and simplified abstracts of scientific journal papers about badgers.
We retain our copyright in our page layouts and the work we have originated. But copyright in any the remaining work remains with the third-party copyright owner. This will probably be either the publisher of the journal, or the organisation who commissioned or owned the work or the researchers. For further details, click the link to the web site of the journal or otherwise contact the publisher or the author.
Badgerland do not provide paper copies of journals. We do not condone or encourage copyright infringement.
